Against the
Current.
Redefining hygiene for women swimmers across Delhi NCR.
In many swimming facilities across Delhi NCR, hygiene is an afterthought—especially for women. From limited changing spaces to the lack of menstrual support in training environments, these gaps impact not just comfort, but health, confidence, and consistency in sport.
Against the Current is a low-cost sanitation and hygiene initiative designed for women swimmers training in real, resource-constrained environments.
We work with schools, local pools, and coaching centers to build practical, scalable hygiene systems—through toolkits, structured protocols, and on-ground training.

Under-discussed
Menstrual hygiene and sanitation are rarely part of the athletic curriculum, leaving female athletes to navigate challenges in isolation.
Systemically overlooked
Infrastructure design frequently fails to account for the specific biological needs of women, creating an unwelcoming environment.
Dropout cause
Lack of proper hygiene facilities is a primary driver for young female swimmers leaving the sport during adolescence.
